MEET THE BAND

Gar has been on stage since he was a kid. After hearing the Bob Seger System at age 13, he began singing and playing guitar in bands around South Florida. He later represented music promoters and venues as an Entertainment lawyer in Miami. Relocating to Atlanta, he has retired from law to pursue his passion for music.

Brett studied music formally in Miami and was featured in 2000 in the column, “New Blood” in DRUM! Magazine. He has been a part of Atlanta’s music scene for 30 years. A practitioner of the healing arts, “Doc” is the spirit of Fire Lake.

A North Carolina native, Jessica could read music before she could read English. Playing all of the wind instruments, she was rated the #1 saxophone player in the state for her age group for 5 years running. She loves horses, large dogs, and being in nature.

Brett is an accomplished pianist and composer who worked with Paul Simon and Melissa Manchester while studying at NYU. As a pianist and singer, he regularly performs jazz standards from the Great American Songbook. Brett’s record “Inspiration” was nominated by the National Association of Independent Record Distributors for “Best Christian Album”.

Terry played bass guitar and clarinet in the US Air Force band system for 12 years, traveling the world and sharing stages with such luminaries as Bob Hope, Steve Allen and Roger Williams. Terry loves both jazz and classical music, and presently plays with an orchestra in ATL.

BASS

Eric, (a/k/a “GQ”,) hails from Savannah and has been a music educator in Georgia public schools for 25 years. A serious jazz lover, his modern musical influences are Grover Washington Jr, David Sanborn, Gerald Albright and Kirk Whalum. When he isn’t teaching or performing, he loves traveling, meeting people, fishing and watching sports.

Eric Moultrie

Saxophones, Percussion

Billy is a multi-instrumentalist, singer/songwriter, as well as being a producer, engineer, and the owner of Cave Cricket Studios, where he records bands, singer-songwriters, voiceovers, and soundtracks. He has a degree in Computer Science from Georgia State University, where he also studied music. Billy is also a noted electric and acoustic bassist and performs regularly with noted ATL singer/songwriters. He also plays banjo, mandolin, percussion, melodica, and synthesizers.
